Sobre este modelo
This shifter knob allows you to mount a second mouse as a "knob". Using the switches on the mouse you can activate functions in the game that otherwise would require moving your hand off the shifter to the keyboard.
This design allows adjustments to the position of the "mouse-knob" by loosening the internal nut and rotating in ten degree increments to help with hand position for increased comfort. The lateral angle of the mouse on the top can be adjusted by selecting and printing one of the five mouse angulation (0°, 5°,10°,15°,20°) plates. With these two adjustments of vertical axis rotation and lateral angulation, the mouse can be put in a comfortable position, allowing you to use the switch array on the mouse for extended game / simulation functions. There are several utilities available for this key mapping of switches on a second mouse (ie. AntiMicroX or HIDMacros). A smaller mouse works well but you may want more switches for more switch functions. To keep the overall height low for fast shifting the mount is designed to use semi-permanent mounting tape "Scotch Mount" or 3M VHB. You could also use 3M "Dual Lock" industrial re-closable fastener. Both of these solutions work well for fixing the mouse to the removable plates. If needing to adjust the rotation of the mouse after mounting, it is easily done by removing the four screws allowing access to the nut. Printing is straight forward with PETG, 0.4mm nozzle. Very little supports are needed with most being used on the pedestal as it is printed with the splines facing up and the recess for the nut needing supports. Beyond the three base parts you will need to choose one of the five angle plates to which the mouse mounts. I printed all five but only one is necessary. I included .step files for the mouse mounting plates so that if you want to customize them for a larger or odd shaped mouse. This will make it easier working from a solid model. 4ea 3mm x 8mm socket head machine screws are needed.
