Sobre este modelo

Five distinct grips. Two ways to print. One official TH8S mounting interface. Give your TH8S a character of its own: a focused competition barrel, a classic rally egg, a flowing touring grip, a spacecraft capsule or a broad sculptural pommel. These are complete printable models with real rounded texture, smooth palm zones and a choice of rigid or flexible contact. Start with a complete one-piece knob. Or print a rigid body and matching replaceable TPU cuff separately to change the contact material and color. TPU is optional, and a multi-material printer is not required. Pick your shifting style - 01 / APEX ONE — the competition flagship. A compact 62 mm barrel with six flowing channels, broad smooth lands and a quiet palm cap. Its optional cuff uses twelve rounded locators in six paired tracks, with body shoulders defining its seat. Every feature has a stated role: contact, location, replacement or identity.

- 02 / RALLY PEBBLE — the palm-over rally egg. A full rounded crown above sixty shallow bowls and two smooth lanes. Familiar rally character with a contrasting, replaceable contact belt.

- 03 / VECTOR GT — the touring-inspired side grip. Six broad flutes and twenty-four swept, round-ended gills in a 66 mm body. Smooth paths interrupt the pattern so the hand can choose its hold.

- 04 / ORBITAL — spacecraft detail without projecting controls. Three rounded lobes, forty-eight craters, interrupted panel seams and a recessed viewport. Broad smooth spines sit beside the textured fields.

- 05 / TORQUE BLOOM — low, wide and sculptural. A 53 mm high, broad-palm form with smooth petal crowns and thirty-six flowing seed recesses. An expressive alternative for drivers who prefer a short, generous grip.

Why this collection is different Texture has a place. Rounded recesses give each grip its own tactile and visual rhythm; the main palm zones stay clear of the patterned belt. There are no fitted individual finger wells, projecting fins or raised decorative controls. The contact part can be a choice. The optional TPU cuff separates contact material and color from the rigid mounting body. A worn or differently colored cuff can be reprinted as its own component. The complete one-piece option remains included for a simpler build. Color follows function. Dark rigid crowns and necks frame a contrasting contact belt. The two-part look comes from actual separate printable components, rather than a full-body paint job. The supplied mounting geometry is preserved. The female interface comes from Thrustmaster's official TH8S design piece. It remains in rigid material; no guessed nominal thread replaces it. No extra grip screws, adhesive or metal inserts are designed into the assembly. You get the editable project. Printable STL files, matching STEP files, colored 3MF inspection assemblies, an illustrated guide, actual-model renders and the complete source/presentation archive are included. What you need Required for either construction - A Thrustmaster TH8S shifter.

- The official printable TH8S adapter, or an existing correctly made adapter from those files. Its unmodified STL is included and credited below.

- The original T20 screw, reused to secure that adapter.

- A T20 driver; a small flathead screwdriver helps remove the stock knob cap.

- An FDM printer and appropriate rigid filament for the complete grip or modular body.

Optional for the modular construction - TPU for the matching cuff. TPU 95A is a prototype candidate; use the actual filament maker's printer/profile guidance.

There is no requirement for a multi-material printer: print the body and cuff separately. A cuff is specific to its design; do not mix silhouettes. Start here: choose the right files - Print 00_INTERFACE_FIT_TRIAL.stl first to check the complete official female interface on your adapter.

- For the simplest one-piece build, print the chosen FULL_ONE_PIECE.stl. This is a complete grip and needs no cuff.

- For the modular build, print the matching RIGID_BODY.stl and TPU_CUFF_PRINT.stl. The cuff PRINT files are already lowered to Z=0 for individual printing.

- STEP files are the editable CAD versions. 3MF_ASSEMBLY files show the assembled part arrangement and colors; they are inspection assemblies, not printer profiles or ready-to-run G-code.

- Read 00_START_HERE_ILLUSTRATED_GUIDE.pdf for the component roles, mounting sequence and prototype checks. The complete archive also contains the generation scripts, full evidence and presentation assets.

Each model's files share its numbered name, making a complete body/cuff pair easy to identify. Print settings and orientation Keep units in millimetres and global scale at 100%. Place rigid parts flat underside down, mounting opening toward the bed. Inspect the internal roof/bridge and keep support material out of the thread. The official reference profile is PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, five walls and 15% knob infill; the official adapter uses 100% infill. Printer calibration and actual fit matter. An alternative rigid-body prototype uses unfilled PETG, seven walls, 35% infill and a dense lower neck. These are starting assumptions, not validated strength settings. Follow the chosen filament's profile and inspect the sliced perimeter continuity. The modular body's upper retaining ledge has an approximately 2 mm radial overhang (2.3 mm on BLOOM), so external or painted-on support may be needed. The complete one-piece option avoids this additional ledge. Use the cuff PRINT file and inspect its seam, borders and locating features; flexible material requires its own profile and dry-filament handling. Assemble and mount For a modular grip, fit the cuff with the knob off the shifter. Align the shape and locating features, then stretch the cuff over the lower retaining edge from the underside. Seat both borders and inspect for rolled lips, tears, gaps or excessive stretch. Do not use the exposed cuff-seat body as a finished grip. Follow the included official mounting PDF: remove the original knob pieces, mount the official adapter using the retained T20 screw, then screw the completed grip onto the adapter gently. Do not force a tight thread or scale the complete model to compensate for poor calibration. Check seating, rotation and finger/housing clearance in every gear before ordinary use. Prototype status — clear and honest These are digitally checked prototypes, not physically qualified products. Final parts have been checked for valid single-solid CAD, connected watertight meshes, preservation of the official interface, digital adapter clearance and the stated body/cuff geometry. Physical print fit, cuff retention, sweaty-hand traction, long-session comfort and repeated hard-shift durability have not been tested. A TPU label or attractive texture does not establish those outcomes. The included trial plan covers dry/damp hands and gloves, longer sessions, cuff pull/twist and relaxation, and measured-load cycling. The 30,000-shift scenario is a proposed test, not a durability claim. All gallery images are renders of the actual model files; colors and surface response are illustrative.
