Sobre este modelo
A simple, sturdy desk stand for using the Steam Deck docked to a monitor with a single USB-C cable. The cradle is modelled directly on Valve's official Steam Deck CAD files, so it follows the actual shape of the Deck instead of guessing. Features - Fits the real shape. The bottom edge of the Steam Deck isn't flat. It has a large rounded curve at the back. The cradle follows that exact profile with 0.3 mm clearance, so the Deck drops in easily and sits without wobbling. - Vents stay free. The air intake on the back (right of center) gets its own notch, cut exactly 5 mm around the intake. The exhaust and the USB-C port on the top edge are completely free, as is the headphone jack. - Won't rotate out. The 35 mm back wall is high enough that the Deck's center of gravity sits in front of the top of the wall. Gravity presses the Deck into the stand instead of trying to tip it over the wall. Below ~30 mm that flips around. - Won't tip over. The base reaches 80 mm back, so it takes a firm push on the top edge (≈3 N) before the whole thing tips. Tapping the touchscreen is no problem. A stiff USB-C plug is easiest to insert while holding the Deck with your other hand. - Doesn't block anything. The front lip is 7 mm high, below the screen's active area (11 mm) and the speakers (16 mm). There is a relief for the micro SD slot, so the push-push card doesn't get pressed in. - Grips float free. The stand sits between the grips, which hang over the ends with a few millimeters of clearance above the desk. - The slots in the base echo the Deck's own intake vents and save some material. The Deck leans back 15°, a comfortable angle to glance at the screen next to your monitor. Compatibility - Tested with the Steam Deck LCD. - The Steam Deck OLED has the same exterior dimensions, so it should fit as well. If you have an OLED, please confirm in the comments! - Made for a bare Deck. It won't fit with a case or a thick grip skin. Printing - Print it as oriented, flat side on the bed. No supports needed: there are no overhangs steeper than 45°. - PETG, 0.20 mm layers, 2 perimeters, 15% infill. - About 52 g and 1.5 h on a Prusa CORE One (0.4 HF nozzle). - PLA should work fine too. - Optional: a few small rubber feet underneath keep it from sliding when you plug in the cable. Files - 3MF: PrusaSlicer project with print settings (CORE One, PETG) - STL: for any slicer - STEP: for remixing in your own CAD program - bgcode: ready to print on a Prusa CORE One with HF0.4 nozzle and PETG Credits The cradle shape is derived from Valve's official Steam Deck CAD files, released under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0: https://gitlab.steamos.cloud/SteamDeck/hardware. This model is therefore shared under the same license. Designed in FreeCAD.
