Sobre este modelo

Description The MCON's magnetic puck sits on a small square T-peg in the centre of the controller's tray. On a normal phone that's exactly where the MagSafe ring should be. On a foldable used unfolded, the ring sits behind one half of the screen, so the phone hangs off to one side of the controller. This adapter fixes that. It slides onto the MCON's original peg with a matching T-slot and carries a copy of the peg 39 mm off-centre. You slide the puck onto the new peg exactly as you would onto the controller, and the unfolded phone ends up centred over the controls. I designed it for an unfolded iPhone Duo, which needs the puck about 39 mm off the controller's centre (measured with calipers). It should work for any foldable with a similar ring position. Measure yours before printing (see Will it fit my phone? below). Three versions File Peg position Size Use

mcon_offset_adapter_right_39mm.stl 39 mm right 84.75 × 56 × 5.8 Puck shifted right

mcon_offset_adapter_left_39mm.stl 39 mm left 84.75 × 56 × 5.8 mm Puck shifted left (mirror of the right one)

mcon_offset_adapter_dual_39mm.stl 39 mm left and right 142 × 67 × 5.8 mm Covers the whole tray; use either side

The dual version covers the full 143 × 68 mm tray, so the plate rests on the whole tray rather than relying mainly on the original peg to resist the phone's off-centre weight. It also lets you flip the phone either way. The single-sided versions are smaller, lighter and faster to print. Fit coupons included Three small test pieces fit_coupon_head14.8.stl, 15.0 and 15.2) have the same slot underneath and differ only in the width of the peg head on top. Printers vary, so print these first (a few minutes each) and pick the widest head your puck slides onto smoothly without rocking. On my printer all three fit and 15.2 mm gave the firmest, preferred fit, so the main STLs use 15.2 mm. If 15.2 binds on your printer, re-export with a narrower head from the included Blender file (see Customising below). How it works - Underside: a T-slot (13.3 mm mouth, 1.1 mm lips, 15.5 × 1.0 mm undercut) that slides onto the MCON's original peg from the top edge of the tray and stops against an end wall, so it always seats in the same place. - Top: a copy of the peg (12.8 mm neck, 1.3 mm tall; 15.2 mm head, 0.8 mm thick), 39 mm off-centre. The puck's channel slides onto it like the stock peg. - Plate: 3.7 mm thick, sitting flat on the tray. The original puck, magnets and spacers are used as-is. Installation 1. Slide the puck off the controller's peg as usual. 2. Slide the adapter onto the original peg: line up the slot's open end with the peg from the top edge of the tray and push it down until it stops. 3. Slide the puck onto the new peg. 4. Attach the phone, unfolded. Before committing to a full print, check that the controller still opens and closes with the adapter fitted. The adapter raises the puck by 3.7 mm. Print settings The fit depends on getting the slot and peg heights right, so these settings matter more than usual. Print the adapter in the same filament and with the same settings you used for the coupon you chose. Orientation: Flat, slot side down (as exported) Supports: None Material: PETG recommended (tougher, less creep); PLA works Layer height: 0.1 mm, or 0.1 mm only where it matters (see below) First layer: 0.2 mm Thick bridges: Off (important: on, they sag into the slot cavity) Detect bridging perimeters: On Perimeters: 4 Infill: 100% rectilinear/monotonic (the plate is thin, so there's little to gain from less) Faster option: variable layer height. In PrusaSlicer, add height range modifiers: - 0 – 2.1 mm: 0.1 mm layers (slot lips and undercut) - 2.1 – 3.7 mm: 0.2 mm layers (plate) - 3.7 – 5.8 mm: 0.1 mm layers (peg neck and head) These ranges put every critical height exactly on a layer boundary. Before slicing, check the preview at about z = 2.1 mm (the slot ceiling should be a bridge) and about z = 5.0 mm (the first layer of the peg head should print as overhang perimeters). Troubleshooting - Adapter catches while sliding onto the controller: usually a first-layer blob or slight warp in the slot. A light pass with a deburring tool or some filing at the slot entrance fixes it. - Puck is too tight on the new peg: print a coupon with a narrower head. If it's tight vertically on every coupon, the underside of the head has drooped; trim it lightly or print with stronger overhang cooling. - Puck rocks on the peg: try the next wider head. Will it fit my phone? With the phone unfolded, measure the distance from the centre of the MagSafe ring (or magnetic ring/sticker) to the centre of the unfolded screen. If it's close to 39 mm, these files will work as-is. If not, the included Blender file lets you change the offset (see below). Adapter clearances on the 143 × 68 mm MCON tray: - Single-sided versions: end 2.5 mm inside the tray edge. - Dual version: inset 0.5 mm all round. Customising The included *mcon_offset_adapter.blend** contains editable models of all three versions and the fit coupons, built with live Boolean modifiers: - Slot cutters and pegs: separate wireframe objects (in the *_Cutters and *_Adds collections). Resize them and the plate updates. - Peg position: each peg is parented to an empty Peg_Offset, Left_Peg_Offset, Dual_Peg_L/R). Move it along X to change the offset; for large changes, also resize the plate so it still covers the puck. - Head width: scale the peg head objects Peg_Head, Left_Peg_Head, Dual_Peg_L_Head, Dual_Peg_R_Head) in X and Y (for example, to 15.0 mm if 15.2 binds on your printer). - Exporting: the *_EXPORT objects are applied copies used for the STLs. After editing, export the live *_Plate object instead (File → Export → STL, Apply Modifiers on, scale 1.0).
