MIG-31 Foxhound Plane Kit Card

MiG-31 Foxhound KitCard

A fast, colorful and easy-to-assemble KitCard inspired by the legendary MiG-31 Foxhound, one of the most distinctive high-speed interceptors ever built. Designed at approximately 1:96 scale, the finished model measures around 23.6 cm long with a wingspan of roughly 14 cm. The parts print flat and assemble quickly without glue, making it a fun project and a great gift for aviation and Cold War aircraft fans. The MiG-31 was developed as a long-range interceptor capable of operating at very high speed and altitude, and it has an interesting connection to another aviation icon: the SR-71 Blackbird. During the Cold War, the MiG-31 was one of the aircraft specifically associated with the challenge of detecting and potentially intercepting extremely fast, high-flying reconnaissance aircraft like the SR-71. While the Blackbird relied on extraordinary speed and altitude to stay out of reach, the MiG-31 combined powerful radar, long-range missiles, and high-speed performance to defend vast areas of airspace. Fun facts:

- The MiG-31 can reach speeds around Mach 2.8.

- It was one of the first fighters equipped with a phased-array radar.

- Its large size and twin-engine layout make it significantly bigger than fighters such as the MiG-29.

- It was designed for long-range interception over the enormous distances of the Soviet Union.

A quick print, an easy build, and a perfect companion piece for the SR-71 Blackbird on your shelf.
