Magnetic Miniature Travel Cage (and movement tray)

An adaptation of an older cults model to fit 6mm magnets and resized for different bases.

Intended for use with 6x1mm magnets, though it is an unusual size, the magnet negatives can be resized to fit your magnet of choice though take care as the “tray” is quite thin.

Personally recommend printing the "tray" part in a transparent filament as, when you use it as a movement tray it is less noticeable on a tabletop. If you do, use an ICE profile for the best effect (basically increase line width, increase temperature and set solid infill to aligned rectilinear).

I've included several sizes for different bases (25-40mm) though the 40mm cage has less slots as to keep the cages roughly consistent in size/footprint.

Take care when opening the cages when minis are inside (the two parts of the cage stay together with a simple clipping mechanism), so long as you aren't flinging them open and launching the parts across the room, the minis inside should stay nice and safe.

supports are turned on for the bottom part of the cage to ensure tolerances for slotting in the trays, these little supports can be removed effectively with needle-nose pliers and should fling right out with a bit of pressure.

i don't imagine you'll need more base sized but if you do, ask and ye shall receive.
