Sobre este modelo
I wanted to design a display shelf for 1:64 scale die-cast vehicles, so I designed this in tinkercad in about 4-5 hours.
The 6 printed modules nominally display 48 1:64 scale die-cast vehicles; each standard cubby is about 85 mm long, 40 mm tall, and 40 mm deep. There are 3 cubbies on top that are double long to accommodate for even longer castings, and a double wide, double tall, double deep cubby at the bottom middle with an extended shelf for things such as displaying larger scale castings, taller castings, or creating a small garage diorama.
The 6 modules are designed to attach to 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) plywood cut to 538x356mm using #8 1/2 inch countersunk wood screws (AFAIK the closest metric equivalent is M4x12 if you can't easily get imperial fasteners.) My calculated project cost is about $40 USD, which includes a 1/2 inch plywood project board, 1 kg spool of overture PLA+ filament, and the fasteners. You can either add a custom mounting solution to the back, or use the feet I hastily designed to set it upright on a surface.
The outer walls of the module on the inside of the display are half the thickness of the outer walls on the outside of the display to maintain a consistent wall thickness within the display, so the cubbies must be arranged as shown in the picture and cannot be mixed and matched, besides making the display longer horizontally. DISCLAMER: I have not made this myself yet and have not tested it. It may work or be a piece of crap. Feel free to remix or improve on it if you want.
