FREE Acorn Spinner Pencil Topper, No Supports

FREE download! A chubby, smiling acorn: a tan nut with faint grain lines, big black eyes with little highlights, a smile and pink cheeks, topped with a dark brown cap covered in cross-hatched scales and a short curved stem. Push it onto a standard pencil and it spins a full 360 degrees on a built-in captive spinner, the same print-in-place spinner as our football and baseball toppers. It prints in one go with no supports and no assembly.

Size: 33 x 33 x 38 mm. About 11.0 g of filament plus purge for the color changes. Print at 100% scale, because scaling changes the pencil fit and the spinner gap.

Slot colors: Slot 1 Tan (acorn nut and spinner). Slot 2 Dark brown (cap and stem). Slot 3 Black (eyes and smile). Slot 4 Pink (cheeks).

Printing from the STLs? Import the four color files together as one object with multiple parts, then set Tan to Slot 1, Dark brown to Slot 2, Black to Slot 3 and Pink to Slot 4. The spinner is inside the Slot 1 file. Keep the model exactly as it is (no rotating or scaling), with supports and brim off.

After printing, give the spinner in the bottom a little turn so it moves freely, then push the unsharpened end of a standard pencil in and spin it.
