FrankenWiener - Lil' Franky & the Mystery Meats Magnetic Fidget Slider/Spinner (Articulated Hot Dog Fidgets/Keychains/Magnets)

It's been a while since I shared a mystery meat and I thought a FrankenWiener would be perfect for this time of year. I hope you enjoy him as much as we do. He was modeled after our original Lil' Franky but since he is a FrankenWiener he needed some modification and hardware upgrades including.....

~ 2 bun options for a Magnetic Slider or a Tik-Talker.

~ A print-in-place hinged locking packaging container & tray with FrankenWiener graphics.

~ Multi-tool Including a channel for easier removal of bolts from the bearings, small poker tools for removing bearings from buns or broken bolt from bearing, hidden poker tool and 2 areas for holding spare bolts.

DO NOT USE SILK PLA FILAMENT FOR THE BUN BOLTS. The Bolts have small pins that go into the bearings and Silk filament is much more brittle than standard pla. I used a standard grey pla material for the bolts and optimized the 3mf file for stronger walls.

For all Bambu Studio users or anyone who can use a 3mf file, I highly recommend using the attached 3mf files as they are pre-colored and include the layer pauses to place the magnets inside the prints. The 3mf files also include a Smooth Adaptive layer on FrankenWiener to give him a smoother look.

Please note: If you change layer heights you will have to adjust your pause. Adding/removing pauses can all be done after you slice your plate, using the vertical slider on the right edge of the screen.

For anyone who cannot use a 3mf file all of the stl files are located in the zip file attached.

All of the magnets will go into the wiener, buns and all of the packaging components in the same direction. I printed the Wieners first and put all the magnets into the wieners the same direction. Each wiener gets (2) magnets stacked into each hole. Then when you print the other components take a wiener with you and have a stack of magnets on the bottom of him. Put that stack into the next component you are printing and now you can use that stacked wiener pattern to get all of the magnet directions correct. I had to make the magnets a tad bit smaller then the standard 8x3, I typically use, since those didn't fit into the head. All of the magnets in the FrankenWiener components are 6x3mm. All of my models are printed on stock Bambu Labs X1C or P1S or SnapMaker U1 printers using the standard 0.04mm nozzle and a 0.16mmm layer height.
