Sobre este modelo
Flexi Capybara is a four-colour print-in-place toy for FDM printers: a chunky orange-brown capybara loafing flat on its belly, with a dark brown nose, ears and feet and a calm black-eyed face. It prints as one piece on an AMS or MMU setup with no assembly, and the body is cut into segments that bend once you free the joints.
I made this one because the capybara is the internet's favourite calm animal, and a flexi version that you can bend and flop around the desk is the right way to carry that calm around. The body is orange-brown, the nose, ears and feet are dark brown, and the eyes are black with a white highlight. It uses only four colours, so it fits exactly into a single four-slot AMS with nothing to remap. The colours are already assigned inside the 3MF, so there is nothing to paint. It lies flat at about 12 cm long and 10 cm wide, and only about 3.5 cm tall.
Printing it: print it flat, lying the way it rests in the photos, and do not stand it up. It is a flexi, print-in-place model, so every joint is already connected with a small gap built into the file. 0.16 mm layers give the cleanest joint gaps and 0.20 mm is fine for a first test. Keep the scale at 100 percent, because the joint clearances scale with it, and use three walls and 10 to 15 percent infill. Check the slicer preview and add tree supports set to build plate only wherever it flags an overhang. The places to watch are under the snout and the front of the head, under the ears, and under the toes. Once it is cool, bend every joint back and forth a few times to free it before you pose it. Matte PLA hides layer lines far better than glossy.
A few honest notes. The mesh is dense, about 1.4 million triangles, so your slicer may take a moment to open it. How freely a print-in-place joint moves depends on your printer's tuning, so if a joint feels stuck, flex it gently a few times or reprint at a slightly larger scale. It prints fine in a single colour if you do not own an AMS, you just lose the dark brown nose, ears and feet against the orange-brown body. And the gallery pictures are AI-generated previews of the model, not photos of a finished print, which is why the listing is marked as AI-generated.
Great as a desk toy, a stress-relief fidget, a party favour, or a gift for anyone who loves capybaras.
