Sobre este modelo
Bring iconic sci-fi history to your workbench with this massive 20.5" x 10.5" (52 cm x 27 cm) replica of the Battlestar Galactica Viper Mark II! Truly an impressive showcase piece, this model captures the aggressive lines, triple-engine thruster assembly, nose-to-tail striping, and wing-mounted cannons of the classic Colonial fighter. I wanted a standout multi-color project to test out my newly built Prusa Core One INDX (8T), so I took Printerchick model (THANK YOU!), and spent the time fully colorizing and cutting the model right inside PrusaSlicer. I’m sharing the pre-colored files here to save you hours of setup time! The model has been split to fit cleanly within the Core One build volume while keeping assembly straightforward. Key Features - Massive Scale: Measures 20.5" L x 10.5" W for maximum display presence.
- Pre-Colorized for INDX: Formatted to save you the hassle of manual painting or tedious slicer coloring.
- 4-Tool Friendly: Built on an 8-tool machine, but only requires 4 filaments/tools, making it fully compatible if you're running a 4-toolhead setup.
- Optimized Cut Layout: Cut strategically to maximize build area usage and maintain structural strength.
Filament & Pro-Tips for the Best Look - Color Recommendation (Crucial!): Avoid using bright white filament—it tends to make the ship look like a cheap plastic toy. Instead, print the main body in Prusament Vanilla White (or a similar off-white/cream shade). It gives the hull a weathered, authentic screen-accurate tone that looks wicked awesome right off the bed.
- Material: Standard PLA works perfectly.
- Supports: Print with "Supports from build plate only". This avoids burying delicate recessed areas in support material. You can easily touch up minor overhangs post-print with a quick pass of an X-Acto knife.
- Assembly: A little super glue or CA glue and you'll be all set!
