Yakub Kolas (real name Kanstantsin Mitskevich, 1882–1956) was a classic of Belarusian literature, writer, dramatist, poet and translator. He is author of the poems “The New Land” and “Symon the Musician”.
This model was made by 3D scanning a bust of Yakub Kolas from my great-grandmother’s collection. She left Belarus in the 1960s and took the bust with her as a keepsake of her homeland. This is a high-quality polygonal model with about 430,000 polygons: after scanning, the mesh was cleaned, repaired and optimized for printing, so it prints cleanly and keeps its detail. Now this piece of Belarus can be printed and displayed anywhere in the world.
