Wireless handheld controller with round LCD and JogWheel
por Sebastian en Thingiverse
I needed a wireless controller to set all the parameters on my huge interactive moon lamp. Based on a 1.28" round LCD display, a KY-040 rotary encoder and a ESP32.C3 with external WIFI antenna this controller has a static mounted display with jog/click-vwheel around it. The jog wheel is running on..

Sobre este modelo
I needed a wireless controller to set all the parameters on my huge interactive moon lamp. Based on a 1.28" round LCD display, a KY-040 rotary encoder and a ESP32.C3 with external WIFI antenna this controller has a static mounted display with jog/click-vwheel around it. The jog wheel is running on 3 pinions, two are fixed in place, one is mounted on the encoder. The gear ratio is 60 : 14. As you press on the jog wheel, it will actuate the switch in the encoder. With that you can create a nice radial menu and navigate with turn and click. To mount it, first move the encoder in the base without screwing it down. then place the pinion on the encoder shaft and put the jog wheel on. Now tension the jog wheel by mounting the encoder PCB to the controller base. I used a TP4057 USB-C charging module for a 18650 Li-Ion cell and a toggle switch to switch everything on/off. The battery fits in a 18650 battery housing in the big opening in the bottom. The covers on both side close everything, I printed them out of TPU for a nicer grip. If you want you can align the two halves with 1.5 x 10mm parallel pins near the jog wheel. I included the SolidWorks and Step files also, if you want to change or remix it. I needed this controller for my artifical moon lamp -> see here if you are interested. I think this controller can be used for a lot of different things have fun, Seabastian
