Sobre este modelo

A two-part enclosure for a 3.5" touch display and an ESP32-S3, built for the open-source WetterCube weather display: weather, pollen and air quality on your desk, no cloud, no account. It is still beta…so i´m happy to get feedback from you…thank you in advance :)

A weather display for your desk, with a case you print yourself.

This is the enclosure of the WetterCubePlus: a small Wi-Fi weather display with a 3.5" touch screen (480×320) and an ESP32-S3. It shows the weather, a 4-hour forecast, a 24-hour temperature curve, sun and moon, UV, air quality and pollen at a glance, and it tells you with a notice tile when rain, a thunderstorm, heat, frost or poor air quality is on the way.

Two versions, one case:

- WetterCubePlus Europe: English interface, works in all of Europe (weather, pollen and air quality from Open-Meteo).

- WetterCubePlus (German version): for Germany, with DWD data, bio-weather and rain radar.

The software is free and open source (Apache 2.0). There is no cloud, no account and no API key. You flash the firmware straight from your browser with the web installer (Chrome or Edge, USB-C), and later updates come over the air. Settings are in a web interface at your device's address in the home network.

- Lower part and lid (display frame), version 2 - Outer size: lower part 108 × 91.4 × 75.8 mm, lid 108 × 66.1 × 66.3 mm - Cut-out for the USB-C connector - PLA or PETG, 0.4 mm nozzle; the print profile is included **[add layer height, infill and supports if you like]**

What you need besides the case - ESP32-S3 N16R8 board on a screw-terminal shield and a 3.5" 480×320 SPI touch display module (the build guide lists the exact parts and the wiring) - M2 heat-set inserts in the corners of the display frame and M2 × 8 mm screws - A USB-C cable and a USB power supply

Good to know: This is a software project, not a finished product. You build the device yourself, which means a little crimping and soldering. The build guide has photos for every step. Use at your own risk and do not use it for safety-critical purposes; the notices are calculated from the forecast and are not official weather warnings.

Did you print it? I would love to see your build: add a make or write a comment. Questions and ideas are welcome.
