Sobre este modelo
Tilted desk stand for the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.28 round touch display: USB-C from the side, BOOT/RESET reachable, prints without supports. What it is A small desk or shelf stand that turns the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.28 into a finished round display for Home Assistant / ESPHome dashboards, a clock or a gauge. In daily use only the USB-C power cable connects; it leaves from the side. The SH1.0 GPIO connector and the battery socket stay unused, and BOOT/RESET are pressed with a pin when you flash. Features - Modelled on Waveshare's own STEP model and dimension drawing, not on photos: 0.3 mm clearance around the 38.51 mm glass - 34.0 mm front aperture with a 0.6 mm chamfer: the whole 33.4 mm active area and the touch glass stay free, the bezel holds the glass edge - USB-C hole lined up with the receptacle (receptacle face 0.9 mm behind the outer face, so normal cables seat fully) - 2.5 mm pin holes in the back lid over BOOT and RESET - Press-fit back lid with a small pry notch, no screws - Display leans back 15 degrees on an integrated foot - No supports: the body prints face down, the lid prints flat - Why this size: the puck is 11.5 mm deep because that is the module (8.4 mm), the 1.2 mm bezel, 0.3 mm air and the 1.6 mm lid, nothing more. The only openings are the display, USB-C, BOOT, RESET and the lid notch.
What you need - Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.28 (the touch version with the IMU): https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c3KG2RvN (affiliate), about USD 28.30 / EUR 24.60 - PETG or PLA filament, I use SUNLU Matte PETG 1.75 mm: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c4VKRrJH (affiliate), about USD 24.80 / EUR 21.55 per kg - A USB-C cable (a right-angle plug looks tidiest) - No screws, inserts or glue
Print settings - Material: PETG or PLA - Nozzle 0.4 mm, layer height 0.2 mm - Infill 20 %, 3 perimeters - Body: front face down on the bed, as exported. Lid: flat, as exported. Or print the print-plate file with both - Supports: none. Brim: not needed - About 1 h 15 min and 12 g for both parts
Assembly - Slide the board in from the back, glass first, USB-C into the slot on the side. - Press the lid in (the round side follows the case, the square tab goes over the USB-C end). - Plug in USB-C. Rotate the screen 90 degrees in your firmware (ESPHome: rotation: 90) so the image is upright with the USB on the side. - To open: lift the lid at the notch with a fingernail.
Parameters in the included source (build123d, model.py) TOL (0.3, module fit), TOL_PRESS (0.15, lid fit), WALL (2.0), END_WALL (1.2), BEZEL (1.2), APERTURE_MARGIN (0.3), AIR (0.3), LID_T (1.6), MOUNT (desk or none), TILT_DEG (15), FOOT_W / FOOT_H / FOOT_L, BTN_HOLES (on), BTN_HOLE_D (2.5), PRY_NOTCH (on). Fit The board fits with 0.3 mm per side, the lid is a 0.15 mm press fit. If the lid is loose, lower TOL_PRESS to 0.1 (or add a strip of tape on its edge); if it is too tight, raise it to 0.2. If the board does not drop in, raise TOL to 0.4. Links marked (affiliate) earn me a small commission at no extra cost to you; it helps me keep designing and sharing. Prices at time of posting.
