Water-Blocking Sill Guard

A practical, modular guard for plastic or wooden windows, designed to prevent condensation buildup and rainwater from leaking onto the floor. If your windows "weep" during the winter or let in moisture during heavy downpours, this simple, modular system will contain the water—either directing it elsewhere or holding it until it evaporates.

How it works:

Guide Profile: Installs along the joint between the window and the sill, blocking the flow of water. Corner Connector: Allows for neat, seamless joining of the guards at the corners of the window frame to manage water drainage. Sealing (Tip): For complete leak protection, it is recommended to apply a thin bead of silicone window sealant beneath the profile, or use double-sided, water-resistant adhesive tape.

Printing Features: No Supports Needed: The long main section is designed to be printed horizontally and requires no support structures whatsoever. Modular Design: You can easily trim or extend the profile directly within your slicer software to fit the exact dimensions of your window.

⚙️ Recommended Print Settings:

Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS are recommended; these materials offer excellent moisture resistance and are durable against UV exposure from sunlight. PLA can also be used, provided it is kept indoors and not subjected to standing water for long periods.

Layer Height: 0.2 mm.

Wall Loops: 3–4 lines to ensure maximum water-tightness. Infill: 15–20% (gyroid or grid pattern).
