Sobre este modelo
Tridemorph (C19H39NO, CAS 24602-86-6) — a free educational 3D molecular model for teachers and students, by MolGod.org. Every sphere shows which element it is through an engraved symbol, not a colour code. Ask students to describe the framework of Tridemorph before anything else: one 6-membered ring. Then count the bonds together; there are 60 (all of them single). A five-minute warm-up: read the symbol on every sphere and write down the totals (19 C + 39 H + 1 N + 1 O = 60 atoms). Spot-the-group challenge: can students find the ether linkage (C-O-C) and the tertiary amino group (-NR2)? There are two stereocentres in Tridemorph; the configuration is not specified in this record, so students can work out what the R and S forms would look like. Students meeting chirality, enantiomers and CIP (R/S) rules, as well as amines and basicity for the first time can hold an example in their hands. Part of the MolGod.org free library of engraved molecules for chemistry classrooms. Teachers: use it as a hands-on starter before drawing the structural formula on the board. STL mesh: 634,190 triangles, closed (watertight) single solid. Coordinates in ångström (STL stores no unit) — scale the model deliberately in your slicer.
