This detailed Tree of Life Secret Book Box combines elegant fantasy décor with a cleverly concealed storage compartment.

A Different Kind of Book Box

This is another variation of my Secret Book Box collection, featuring the same concealed push-button storage mechanism as my Dragon's Secret Book Box, but with an entirely different decorative theme.

The Tree of Life represents growth, strength and connection, making this version especially suitable as a meaningful gift or keepsake box.

Painting Tips The model shown in the photographs was hand-painted to achieve an aged antique bronze and gold finish with green leaves.

To create a similar appearance:

1. Apply a dark brown or black undercoat. 2. Dry-brush the raised tree trunk, branches and roots with antique or pale gold. 3. Carefully paint the leaves in shades of green and white highlight at the ends(blend). 4. Add subtle bronze highlights to the book's edges and spine. 5. Keep the recessed areas dark to enhance the depth of the relief.

The combination of antique metallic tones and green foliage gives the finished piece a beautiful, aged appearance.

Printing Tips Print the book housing standing upright on its spine, as shown in the reference images.

Internal storage size: Approximately 143 × 78 mm, using the same box dimensions as the Dragon's Secret Book Box.

Customization Tip - Replace the 3D Relief

You can personalize your Secret Book Box by replacing the existing Tree of Life relief with your own 3D design in Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer.

1. Split the model: Right-click the model and select Split → To Objects to separate the relief from the book box. 2. Remove the existing relief: Select the Tree of Life relief and delete it without disturbing the other components. 3. Import your own relief: Add your replacement 3D relief as an STL file. 4. Attach the new relief: Rotate, scale, and position your relief against the front cover. The flat back of your relief should slightly overlap (intersect) the solid surface of the book cover by approximately 0.2–0.5 mm. This ensures the relief prints as part of the cover rather than as a separate or unsupported object. 5. Check before printing: Slice the model and inspect the layer preview to ensure the relief and cover form a continuous printed structure, with no gaps or floating sections.

Important: Do not move, rotate, or reposition any of the original book box components. Only adjust your replacement relief. Keep the relief clear of the book's edges, hinges, and other functional features.

This allows you to create your own custom Secret Book Box designs while retaining the original print-ready construction.
