Video link for testing the motorized roller chain tracks https://youtu.be/38dQspfeEqo LInk to thing-i-verse files for Light tracker version. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7423244 LInk to video of light tracker tank. https://youtu.be/loR59x6anaU I used two TT gearmotors 1:48 single shaft, the 1:90 would work great as well. If you only have the dual shaft motors, then just cut off one shaft drive. You will need Six 6-32 screws at 3/4 inch long as well. Two of the screws to hold the TT gearmotor in place and 4 to hold the sprockets in place. The TT gearmotors can be positioned for good gear contact with the sprocket gear, not to tight and not so lose that the gears skip teeth. You glue the large gear units to the back of the large sprockets. The small gear will press on to the TT motor shafts. There is a hole provided in case you need to screw the small gear to the motor shaft. Build video can be found here. https://youtu.be/IpJISUyU-ww Video for Roller chain build can be found here. https://youtu.be/dLuL7oXaVKs?si=GfhJWiQhSXSQIHwE . This project replaces the hairpin links with Track treads so the roller chain can be used as tank tracks. All parts print without supports. The 2 sprockets are provided with holes sized for 6-32 screws to turn freely, 4mm holes. The sprockets do require supports at the very tips of the teeth since they are angled in.
