The Texel Lighthouse (also known as the Eierland Lighthouse) is one of the most iconic landmarks on the island of Texel, located in the northern part of the Netherlands in the North Sea. Built in 1864, this lighthouse stands at the northern tip of Texel, where the North Sea and the Wadden Sea meet. It was constructed to help sailors navigate safely through these dangerous waters.

History: During World War II, this area was under German occupation, and in 1945, fierce battles took place around the lighthouse. It suffered significant damage but was restored after the war and reopened for use. Visiting: Today, the Texel Lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can climb its 118 steps to learn about its history while exploring the surrounding area.
