Tesla V100 PCIe 120 mm Fan Duct

por user_1652752753 en MakerWorld

A duct that mounts a 120 mm fan to the tail of an NVIDIA Tesla V100 PCIe (passive) card and pushes air through the heatsink, exhausting out the I/O bracket. The fit has been printed and tested on a real card; the joints do not leak.

Sobre este modelo

A duct that mounts a 120 mm fan to the tail of an NVIDIA Tesla V100 PCIe (passive) card and pushes air through the heatsink, exhausting out the I/O bracket. The fit has been printed and tested on a real card; the joints do not leak. Cooling depends on the fan's static pressure, not airflow: the heatsink fins are dense, so use a high-static-pressure fan. The OpenSCAD source is included and fully parametric. Fit

- Tail plate 113 × 40.2 mm sits flat on the card tail, 3 × M3 screws into the card's holes (heads sit in pockets in the plate)

- Shaped lip plugs ~4 mm into the fin opening (follows the real opening, 0.7 mm clearance per side)

- Fan flange 120 × 120, 105 mm hole spacing, hex pockets for the fan's M3 nuts (press-fit; nut-fit test piece included)

- Side cutout for the 8-pin power plug

Printing

- Print fan flange down. No support needed except:

- The 3 screw-head pockets on the tail plate (z ≈ 86 mm) have a floating ring ceiling (Ø6.5 → Ø3.8). Paint support there, or drill/clean it after printing.

- One ~20 mm bridge above the cable cutout (z ≈ 90 mm). Add support if your printer sags on bridges.

- The card tail gets hot: PETG/ASA recommended over PLA.

Customizing (OpenSCAD)

- All measurements are variables at the top of the file, with notes

- -D 'part="full"' duct · "fit" thin tail-fit test · "nutfit" nut pocket test

- Options: align (one flat wall), fan2_gap (second fan in series)
