The Tatra T5B6 is a series of trams produced in two pieces in 1976. It was supposed to replace the obsolete T3M type in the Soviet Union, but after unsuccessful tests in the city of Tver it was returned back to Czechoslovakia. Due to its excessive width (2600 mm) it could not be operated in most cities, but in 1979 the city of Most expressed interest in an intercity tram line to Litvínov. The second of the trams was scrapped in 1993 and became a historic vehicle.
