Sobre este modelo
Hole-style racks waste pegboard space A screwdriver rack with holes holds drivers better than one with slots, because they can't slide out the front. But you have to lift each driver straight up to get it out of its hole. That means leaving an empty strip of board above the rack, about as tall as your longest screwdriver. That's wasted pegboard. This rack is on a hinge. Swing it out from the board and the drivers lift out with nothing above them in the way. Swing it back flat against the board, to either side, and you can hang other tools right above it, so you can pack the board tighter. Each hole has a counterbore that the end of the handle sits in, so the drivers stand straight and don't tip over. The hinge mount screws to the pegboard with two 3D printed 1/4"-20 screws, so the arm doesn't wobble or lift off when you grab a driver. How it goes together - Hinge mount: a plate with two countersunk holes that screws to the pegboard, plus two knuckles that hold the arm.
- Arm: fits between the knuckles and has 5 holes in a single row for screwdriver shafts, 0.625" (15.9 mm) across.
- Counterbores: each hole has a 1.144" (29.1 mm) counterbore, 0.250" (6.4 mm) deep, on top. The end of the handle sits down in it, so the screwdriver stays upright instead of leaning or tipping over.
- Hinge pin: a 1/4"-20 × 2-3/4" hex head bolt runs through the knuckles and the arm, with a flat washer at each end and a hex nut. The arm is 0.750" (19 mm) thick in a 0.770" (19.6 mm) gap, so it swings freely. It swings 90° either way from straight out, so it folds flat against the board to the left or the right.
- Two printed screws: they hold the mount to the board. No hooks are needed.
The knuckles have diamond-shaped pin holes, so they print standing up without supports. How the screws work This is the same printed screw I use on my Screw-in Pegboard Holder for 1/4" Driver Set Case. - Grips the hole: the 1/4"-20 UNC thread is made oversize, 0.265" (6.7 mm) across in a 0.250" (6.35 mm) pegboard hole. It bites into the edge of the hole and holds tight.
- Self-centering: a tapered tip, 0.125" (3.2 mm) long and narrowing from 0.240" to 0.218" (6.1 to 5.5 mm), drops into the hole and centers the screw as you start it.
- Flat-blade drive: the screws have a 0.080" (2 mm) slot and are driven with an ordinary flat-head screwdriver.
- Seated heads: the 0.726" (18.4 mm) 90° countersunk head sits down in a 0.924" (23.5 mm) 90° countersink in the hinge mount, so the head ends up just below the surface.
- Size: each screw is 0.611" (15.5 mm) long overall.
Pegboard compatibility - Standard pegboard with 1/4" (6.35 mm) holes on 1" (25.4 mm) spacing
- The two mounting holes are 4.000" (101.6 mm) apart, so they line up with pegboard holes four apart, one above the other
- Tested on 3/16" (4.8 mm) thick pegboard
- Not for IKEA Skådis or other slotted boards
Dimensions - Arm: 7.625" (194 mm) from the hinge pin to the tip, 1.750" (44 mm) wide, 0.750" (19 mm) thick
- Screwdriver holes: 5 in a row, 0.625" (15.9 mm) across with a 10° taper. They fit shafts up to 5/8".
- Counterbores: 1.144" (29.1 mm) across and 0.250" (6.4 mm) deep, with a 10° taper and chamfered edges. They fit handle ends up to about 1-1/8" (29 mm).
- Hinge mount: 5.400" (137 mm) tall; knuckle stack 2.750" (70 mm) tall
- Folded: 8.575" (218 mm) long and sticks out 2.625" (67 mm) from the board
- Swung out: the tip reaches about 9-3/8" (238 mm) from the board
