Steam Frame TPU Top Strap Hook

An attachment for a top strap to the Steam Frame. Took the original's loop, cut off the rest, fattened it up and made it a more snug fit for the notch.

I just fed some cheap 1 inch webbing straps through mine. Dunno if it works with the official ergonomic kit. To fit it just push flat against the slot, and wiggle the top parts in past the notches. You may need to press on the bottom part with your nails to fit it completely.

It stays put, is silent, and flexes easily without getting pulled out. Haven't given it the true endurance test, but from just pulling at it I don't think it should ever break on you during normal use.

I printed mine with 95a TPU, all wall loops. (use wall loops rather than infill so the filament runs around the length of it.)

In my opinion this is the best way to attach a strap to your headset. I was worried about potential damage to the plastic from mashing a paperclip in there, and possibly stripping the material as it's removed or pulled during use. Other printed clips could break while using it and potentially leave pieces inside the slot. The IPD adjustment wheel gear is RIGHT behind this component so It's important to treat it as carefully as possible I think.
