Sobre este modelo
A spindle-shaped body for a DIY squid jig. The line or leader wire runs through a 2 mm centre bore and comes out at the rounded nose, and the fat end (tail) has a socket for the hub of a squid-jig crown (the ring of barbless needles). - 40 mm long, Ø10.6 mm at the belly (10 mm from the tail), about Ø10 at the tail
- Ø2 mm line bore straight through
- Ø5 mm × 8 mm deep crown socket in the tail
- Both ends rounded at a 2 mm radius
Printing Print standing on the tail with no supports. I print them in PLA at 0.2 mm layers with 100 % infill so the body is solid and sinks; glow-in-the-dark filament is a popular choice for squid. The second photo shows a cross section with the bore and the socket. Customize it in your browser This model is fully parametric. The body curve is a single revolved arc, so you can change length, belly_d, belly_pos and nose_d freely, adjust bore_d, socket_d and socket_depth to fit your crown and line, and set copies to lay out a whole plate.
