Sobre este modelo
Here is a square lens hood I have designed for the beloved 20mm f1.7 lens from Lumix, based on the classic Leica style that is becoming popular with recent SG Image lenses.
It has been tested on both the first and second version of the lens. In my testing it provides very strong flare protection, and has been optimised to be the smallest size possible without any corner vignetting or edge softness.
It includes a snap on protective cap.
It screws onto the 46mm filter thread, with a little round indicator lining up with the red dot on the lens once fully screwed in. I recommend adding a dab of white paint to the round divet, like I have done in the photos.
I recommend printing this with black PLA or stronger, in the photos I have used Overture Matte Black. You will likely run into issues with any colour other than black. Make sure to let it adequately cool before snapping on the cap.
One note I will add - since the entire front of the lumix 20mm f1.7 moves when focusing, this is attached to a moving part. I have designed it to not interfere with this mechanism, though note that this may add a tiny bit of extra strain on your focusing motor. I really don't think this will be an issue though, as people have been using heavier screw-on filter thread accessories with this lens for years.
Do leave a photo if you make one yourself. Enjoy!!
