Three real-looking snowflakes for the Christmas tree, windows or gift tags. ❄️

Each snowflake is a flat 2.6 mm lace plate with a raised, tapered ridge along the centre of every arm, so it catches the light like real ice. The three designs follow real snow crystal types: a stellar dendrite with branched arms, a sector plate with broad leaves, and a fern dendrite with dense side branches.

- About 58 × 72 mm with the hanging loop, 3.2 mm thick (2.6 mm plate + 0.6 mm ridge)

- One solid piece – no joints, no assembly, no glue

- Flat on the bed, every wall vertical: no overhangs, no supports, no brim

- Every branch at least 0.9 mm wide and every gap at least 0.8 mm – made for a 0.4 mm nozzle

- Hanging loop on the top arm (Ø3.3 mm hole) for a ribbon, thread or metal hook

- Tested in software: all 3 models watertight, one body each, 6 ridges, 0 mm² overhang

PRINT SETTINGS

- Material: PETG or PLA – white, silk silver, transparent or glow-in-the-dark look great

- Nozzle 0.4 mm, layer height 0.2 mm

- 2 walls, 15 % infill

- Supports: NOT needed, no brim

- Elephant foot compensation 0.15 mm

- Time and PETG (A1 mini): Stellar – 20 min, 2.9 g; Sector – 14 min, 3.0 g; Fern – 20 min, 3.1 g; all three on one plate – 51 min, 8.7 g

TIP: print a few in different colours and hang them on a window with fishing line, or use them as gift tags.
