Snow Guards for Metal Roofs

Looking for a practical snow guard design for metal roofs? I’ve designed these 3D-printable snow guards with a reinforced triangular profile to provide structural rigidity and a simple mounting base. Two versions are included to give you different mounting options: ● 2-Hole Version: Features two mounting holes. ● 3-Hole Version: Features three mounting holes for an additional mounting point. Both versions feature an integrated reinforcing rib design, rounded edges, and a raised stop intended to help retain sliding snow. Features: ● Two mounting-hole configurations. ● Reinforced triangular profile. ● Flat mounting base. ● Rounded edges and corners. ● Designed for 3D printing. ● No supports required. Printing Recommendations: ● Orientation: Print with the flat mounting base on the build plate. ● Supports: No supports required. ● Material: Use PETG or a more weather-resistant material suitable for outdoor applications, including exposure to roof heat, cold temperatures, and UV radiation. ● Walls: Use at least 3 walls. ● Infill: Use at least 50% infill. Important Safety Note: These are 3D-printed designs and have not necessarily been tested for roof snow loads, long-term outdoor exposure, or all mounting conditions. Verify material strength, fasteners, roof compatibility, and load capacity before use. Do not rely on an untested print for overhead snow retention or roof safety.
