I loved Joazito's model for spool holders, where there was limited space at the side of the Snapmaker U1 printer, but I wanted bearings for smooth operation and to take load of the filament feeders. I also wanted labels on the spool holder bases, so I did not make a mistake putting the holders back. The result was this remixed model. Materials The build requires 8 608ZZ bearings (outer diameter 22mm, inner diameter 8.1mm, width 7mm). I got them from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005012717226918.html You also need 8 x 5mm, M3 self-tapping screws. Printing The prints have embossed numbers - paint them your preferred colour using Orca painting function. Print base and spool holder on their flat faces. These are best printed on a U1 in PLA with PETG for support.
Assembly - Put the bearing onto the bearing mount and screw on the bearing cap with an M3 screw.
- Insert the bearing assembly into a slot on the spool holder and fix with an M3 screw.
- Repeat for all bearings.
