Sobre este modelo

A simple comb gauge for measuring the thickness of an edge, lip, panel, or wall without calipers. It has 12 slots from 3 mm to 20 mm wide. Slide the part into the slots, find the one that grips snugly, and that's your thickness. Good for:

- Checking the rim or lip thickness before designing a clip-on or snap-fit part

- Measuring panels, plastic housings, shelves, or table edges

- Checking the gap you need for clips, brackets, and slide-on covers

- A quick go/no-go check of how your printer's slots come out at different widths

I made it while designing a litter guard for an automatic litter box entrance ring, but it works on anything with an edge in that range. How to use

- Print it flat (see settings below).

- Slide the edge into a slot, starting from the narrow end.

- The slot that grips snugly is the thickness. If it falls between two slots, the value is between them.

- Check more than one point. Thickness can vary along an edge.

Slot widths, left to right (wide end tooth on the left): 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 mm Dimensions: 195 × 35 × 3 mm. Slot depth 25 mm, back 10 mm, teeth 5 mm. Print settings

- PLA or PETG, 0.20 mm layers, 2 walls

- No supports, no brim

- About 15 minutes, about 14 g

- First-layer squish can make the narrowest slots 0.1–0.2 mm tighter. If you have calipers, measure a slot or two to check your printer.
