Sobre este modelo
A square feeding tube that hangs on the glass and ends in a small dish 5 mm above the substrate, so sinking food lands in the dish instead of the gravel.
Drop food down the tube and it lands in a dish just above the substrate, where shrimp and snails can reach it and leftovers are easy to take out. The tube hangs on the top edge of the glass by a clip; the inside is 12 mm square, wide enough for 5 mm food. It prints lying on its side with no supports.
What it fits
- Rimless glass 4, 6 or 8 mm thick (bare top edge; no plastic frame).
- Drop from the top of the glass to the substrate: 150, 200 or 250 mm (one file each).
- The clip's outer leg runs 12 mm down the outside of the glass: that strip must be bare glass.
What you need
- PETG filament.
Files
- shrimp-feeding-tube_drop{150|200|250}_glass{4|6|8}mm.stl — nine files: pick your drop and your glass
Fitting
- Measure from the top edge of the glass down to the substrate where the tube will hang; pick the nearest drop below it.
- Slide the clip over the glass edge; it should go on with a light push and sit flat.
Limits
- A lid resting on the glass will sit on the 3 mm plate of the clip.
- Food that sticks to the walls stays there; a knock can lift the dish.
How it was checked
Checked by simulation, not printed by us yet: the geometry is checked for fit (clearances), wall thickness against a 0.4 mm nozzle, bed size and overhangs. Loads are not simulated. If it does not fit, a comment with your measurements helps.
Safety
- Use PETG for parts that stay under water.
