This holder exists because my USPS badge was delaminating in a cracked red holder, so we built a better one — seventeen versions of fit tests, tape measurements, and one very patient dog later, this is the one that earned its place on my lanyard.
Print it standing on its left edge (the on-edge STL is included), 10 mm brim, no supports, ironing on. About 24 g of PLA and an hour of print time.
Honest notes: - The front groove is ~1.2 mm (fit-gauge slot #1). Standard CR80 badges slide right; thicker rigid badges will be a tight slide. - PLA is fine for everyday carry. If your holder lives in a hot truck cab, print it in PETG instead.
Print settings: PLA · 0.2 mm layers · 3 walls · 15% infill · ironing ON · 10 mm brim · no supports · print on edge (on-edge STL included)
