The Ricoh XR-S originally had a rechargeable 3-volt battery. This battery was charged via the solar cells on the camera. These batteries are no longer available. This adapter is designed for the Kemet FG0H104ZF Super-Cap supercapacitor (5.5 V/DC). This supercapacitor provides sufficient power to allow the camera to operate entirely electronically and charges quickly. In short, you’ll never need batteries for the Ricoh XR-S again.
