Update: January 19, 2025

- New Print Profile for A1 (Bedslingers) - Supports have been added to stabilize the helixes, reducing wobble during high-speed printing.

- New Print Profile for A1 Mini - Features the same support structure as the A1, but the model has been scaled to 75%.

- Base and Top Added for Non-AMS Printing - This adjustment reduces printing time by 11 hours.

- Umbrella Logo Print Profile - Reimu has created a print profile allowing the umbrella logo to be printed separately and glued onto the base and top.

- I've tested this method and now prefer it over the lengthy AMS alternative.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of physics and design with this T-Virus Lamp model, a perfect tool for demonstrating the principles of light diffusion, material science, and energy transfer. The helix, crafted from glow-in-the-dark filament, not only provides an excellent example of phosphorescent materials but also creates a mesmerizing visual effect, blending education with sci-fi inspiration.

A1 Mini version with Bambu RGB LED Strip lights (link in makers supply section below) Step into the world of Resident Evil with this brilliantly designed T-Virus Lamp. Combining sci-fi aesthetics with practical lighting, this model is the perfect addition to any fan's collection. Whether you want to showcase it as a standalone display piece or light it up to create an eerie ambiance, this lamp brings the infamous T-Virus to life like never before.

Features:

- Glowing Helix Tubes: The hollow helix design diffuses light beautifully, creating a glowing, radioactive effect. Perfectly sized to fit 12mm LED strip lights, this centerpiece can shine in customizable colors to match your mood. - Recommended Filaments: - White filament for versatile LED color effects.

- Translucent filament for bold, vibrant illumination.

- Glow-in-the-dark filament for an eerie glow in the dark.

- Iconic Umbrella Corporation Design: The base and top of the lamp feature the iconic Umbrella Corporation logo, debossed for easy painting or AMS printing. Screw-on lids ensure effortless assembly and a sleek finish.

- Optional Outer Cylinder: For added realism, include the transparent outer cylinder that encapsulates the helix tubes. Print in spiral vase mode using transparent filament for a professional touch.

Printing Guidelines:

- Support-Free Helix Tubes: Designed for easy printing with no supports required. Use a brim for better adhesion.

- Printer Recommendations: - CoreXY printers (e.g., X1C, P1S) are ideal for smooth and precise results.

- Slower speeds on bed slinger printers can also achieve excellent prints by reducing wobble issues.

- Customizable Finishes: Use AMS for multi-color details, or opt for a single-color print and paint the debossed Umbrella logo for a clean, polished look.

Lighting Tips:

- Best LED Choices: COB LEDs are recommended for smooth, continuous lighting without visible hotspots. Doubling strips back-to-back ensures even brighter, 360-degree illumination.

- Heat Awareness: Be mindful of LED heat, as prolonged use may warp the plastic components.
