Sobre este modelo
Dear fellow modellers, I am pleased to present my model of a small workboat (Vlet), one of three built for Shell in Port Harcourt. I admire these often-overlooked vessels, they work for decades, only to be abandoned and left to decay. Named Eleme, Ubena, and Uburi, the three boats were built in the 1960s at the Van der Molen shipyard in Zaandam, the Netherlands. As I could not find the original drawings, I used the hull of a similar vessel and designed the wheelhouse from a photographs. The model measures approximately 57 cm long by 20 cm wide and is built at a 1:15 scale. I used an FDM 3D printer to make the hull, servo holder, motor support, and wheelhouse (floorboard). I then coated the hull and wheelhouse with three layers of ABS-like resin. All other parts were produced with an SLA printer. Under “Other files,” you will find a PDF with explanations and photos showing how I assembled certain parts and which components I used. If you build this model, I would be delighted to see your photos in the “Makes” section. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, though my reply may take some time. You may write to me in English, German, or my native language, Dutch. Best regards, Rene76 Update: If you like the skipper standing in the wheelhouse, you can download him now via the link below. @Kraak Thanks for sharing. https://www.printables.com/model/1872404-skipper
