This strap storage solution is for the HAUL-MASTER 400 lb. Capacity, 1 in. x 15 ft. Ratcheting Tie-Downs available at Harbor Freight. It may be useful for other varieties, but this is the only strap I have used with it. Bit is at https://than.gs/m/1630296
Winding Bit- PLA, 4 walls, 45% infill Strap Keeper - PLA, 2 walls, 15% infill
The winding bit has a gap just large enough to fit the strap, but not the cut/melted end. That is your start position
Wind the strap with your drill. Too fast makes a mess- just wind it as fast as you can control it.
Place the wound strap into the strap keeper. Put your drill/driver in reverse and slowly turn it until the winding bit is completely loose on the strap and can simply slide off.
Ease the strap through the narrow slit at the top of the keeper.
Place the strap hook onto the top of the keeper and hang wherever is convenient.
