Thanks!Introduction Psoas Frame is an open-frame self-massage tool designed to apply targeted, sustained pressure around the psoas and hip-flexor region using your own bodyweight. Two rounded arches let you control the intensity, while the truss-style frame keeps the print material-efficient at around 150 g. The model prints without supports.
The psoas, often called the "muscle of the soul", sits deep in the hip and lower back and can hold a lot of tension without you noticing. When it remains chronically tight, it can affect movement and posture and may contribute to discomfort such as: Lower back pain, neck stiffness, hip pain, poor posture, shallow breathing, brain fog, anxiety, digestive issues, and even poor sleep have all been linked to a chronically tight psoas.
Applying sustained pressure to the area can help it relax, improve mobility and reduce feelings of tightness, making the PSOAS FRAME a simple way to work on a difficult-to-reach area at home. Psoas / Hip-Flexor Use
- Place the frame on a stable, non-slip surface.
- Feel for the two hard points at the front of your hips. Position each rounded peak in the soft area just to the inside of these hip bones, where your lower abdomen meets the top of your thigh.
- Lie face-down over the frame and lower your weight onto it slowly.
- Relax, breathe normally and hold for 30 – 60 seconds (gradually working up to a maximum of 1 to 3 minutes per area.).
- Re-position slightly if needed. If both sides feel too intense, use one side at a time.
Other areas The frame can also be used on larger muscle groups such as the glutes and hamstrings. Position it carefully and apply bodyweight gradually in the same way.
Important Stop using the frame immediately if you experience sharp pain, numbness, tingling, dizziness, a strong pulsing sensation, or worsening symptoms. Design & printing The two arched pressure structures are hollow and tied into an open truss-style frame rather than a solid body. This keeps the print light while giving the model a rigid structure for controlled loading. Safety This is a self-massage / pressure tool, not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Use controlled pressure only and avoid direct pressure on bones, the spine, injured or inflamed tissue, areas with reduced sensation, the centre of the abdomen, groin, and the front or sides of the neck.
If you are unsure whether deep pressure is appropriate for you, or you have an existing injury, recent surgery, pregnancy, hernia, bleeding or vascular condition, ask a qualified doctor or physiotherapist before use.
Print safety matters too: inspect the model before every use. Do not use a print with cracks, layer separation, impact damage or other visible defects. More by HugoWhite
