Sobre este modelo

This is a Printable case for a MP3 audio bible. It was designed for inexpensive components. It uses a solar panel for charging, has a speaker/headphone jack and uses a wired rechargeable 18650 battery. It's purpose was to reduce the price as close as possible to an inexpensive bible that can be handed out in it's place. The Fusion file is included. This can easily be adapted for other battery sources like the battery from a PlayStation controller. While testing the solar my wife ran the sprinkler for a few hours. The protection board did it's job and burnt up, protecting the MP3 board and battery. The protection board is the cheapest part of the build. ~$0.75 MP3 board example (any brand of the same board will work) https://a.co/d/04WBIgq4 Charge Module with protection https://a.co/d/0cbjIKgq Speaker 8ohm https://a.co/d/08vpXjcW Solar Panel 110mm x 60mm https://a.co/d/04sBraQH You must source the 18650 battery with wire leads. There easy to track down. I harvested mine from a flashlight that had a burnt out LED. Print outside first and I printed the buttons separately. Depending on your printers accuracy, the X and Y may need to be reduced so the buttons move freely and independently. TLDR: The project began when I offered an elderly homeless man a bible and he said, “the words get all jumbled up in my head.” Realizing he was likely Illiterate due to dyslexia, I asked if I made him an audio book, would he listen to it. He said he would. That day I planned to make an open source solar recharging audiobook player with a charging safety board, speaker, and headphone jack. I learned Fusion for this project. This is completely open source with inexpensive and easily attainable parts. I ran the numbers (Late 2025) and If enough parts are purchased in order to assemble 10 units, the per-unit cost will be around $13. The SD card can be loaded with the bible from Librivox.org, all of their recordings are Public Domain. I make no profit from the above links or this project.
