PhotoSlide with Instax Mini_ Customizable

The PhotoSlide Keychain with Instax Mini_ Customizable is a compact, 3D printed mechanical design that transforms how you display memories. Resting on a desk, it resembles a small, elegant book; when pulled open, its internal frames smoothly slide out into a dynamic, tiered display. It can even be printed with a loop to serve as an interactive keychain or mounted on a fridge using optional magnets.

Through the MakerWorld Parametric Model Maker, this design is fully customizable to fit your exact specifications

Parametric Customization Options:

- Photo Capacity: Configure the book to hold anywhere from 4 to 8 photos.

- Photo Formats: While the default is set to a Keychain format (45 × 45 mm), it includes built-in presets for Instax Mini (54x86), Wallet Size, Instax Square, 4x6 inch, and 5x7 inch. Custom height and width dimensions can also be entered.

- Keychain Loop: Toggle a lanyard/keychain hole through the spine and adjust its diameter.

- Magnetic Mounting: Enable magnet pockets to snap the book closed or stick it to metal surfaces. The model supports standard magnet sizes (5x2, 6x2, 8x2, 10x3, etc.) or custom dimensions, with adjustable fit tolerances.

- Mechanical Clearances: Dial in the print-in-place hinge gap and the sliding fit clearance between the pages to match your printer's capabilities.

Print Plates: The MakerWorld PMM automatically generates the necessary 3MF plates for this multi-part assembly:

- Plate 1: Cover Set (Front cover, back cover, and spine print-in-place as a single hinged unit).

- Plate 2: The Top and Bottom sliding pages.

- Plate 3: The Middle pages.

Bambu Studio Print Settings:

- Layer Height: 0.16mm (0.20mm for the first layer) for optimal vertical resolution on the sliding rails.

- Wall Loops: 2.

- Infill: 15% Grid.

- Seam: Random.

- Elephant Foot Compensation: 0.15mm.

- Wall Generator: Arachne ON, Detect thin walls ON.

- Supports: OFF. The sliding mechanism and print-in-place hinges are designed to print cleanly without support material.

- Dimensional Accuracy: Do not stack Bambu Studio's XY compensation on top of the model's parametric CAD clearance. If the sliding pages are too tight or loose, adjust the Fit Clearance parameter in the MakerWorld customizer rather than relying on slicer XY compensation.

Assembly Instructions:

- The cover set prints fully assembled with its hinges intact.

- The internal frames print separately.

- To assemble, simply slide the bottom page into the back cover's rails, followed by the middle pages, and finish with the top page.

- If you enabled the magnetic features, press-fit the magnets into the circular pockets located on the top page and inside the front cover. Ensure polarities are aligned correctly before seating them.
