Sobre este modelo

These are traditional Mexican Paper Banners for Dia de los muertos called 'Papel Picado', but 3d printed! They are great if not available where you live, or if you simply don't have the skill or patience to make your own out of paper. And of course, they are more tear resistant and easier to store than regular paper ones. They are only 0.2mm thick for ultimate paper-like thinness in the original file, which is one standard layer for Bambu Lab printers. if you have a different printer with different layer heights, feel free to adjust. You can also adjust the banners to be thicker if you don't want then as thin. They are all 10cm long, and 7.5-8cm wide, but you can adjust the size to your liking. One banner uses less than 2g of filament, and they print in about 15 minutes if printed one at a time. They all have holes at the corners so that they can be hung. Every design has it's own name, which is shown in the last picture. Some designs have space for customization so you can add the name of your pet or loved one.

Instructions: They are super easy to print, all you need to do is assure for a perfect first layer (especially if you're printing them as one layer) and seeing that your build plate is clean for good adhesion. Also make sure that your filament is nice and dry to avoid bubbles, stringing, and other adhesion issues. Make sure to peel them off after the build plate has cooled properly to prevent bending. I recommend using a scraper or thin blade to remove them. But if you wanna avoid using sharp objects on your buld plate, you can also pop the build plate into the freezer for a moment, the condensation created from the cold will make removing super easy!

I recommend printing your papel picado in vibrant colors like I did mine! Make sure to upload your makes and leave feedback (: Happy printing & Feliz Dia de los Muertos!

Note: The original designs are not mine, I only tweaked some of them and made the 3d printable file.
