Sobre este modelo
For more demaning fastening jobs I keep a few boxes of SPAX® screws around. They conveniently have a tilting front lid (gently detach glue on the side inside). I wanted to put them out of my way onto my openGrid wall as they were cluttering things up. I noticed that they are a standardized size, so decided to make a dedicated holder instead of transfering them to a (printed) container. It seems to go by various names. In their catalogue they just refer to it as size "L" with 68mm width. On the website it's either "Profi Kleinverpackung", "Wood Connector Box", "Professional Box"…. There is also a larger cardboard box with 90 mm width, but I don't have any to measure/fit for. So I've measured it up and printed some prototypes and quickly found out that I didn't want it to be a loose fit, but for the inside to have a narrowing, draft, dimension that firmly and securely grips the box and supports it when fully inserted. That's how I arrived at this design with 65 x 51 mm at the tight end. With the two different boxes that I have here for testing it grips firmly and doesn't seem to deform the cardboard permanently. It's easiest to lever the box in from the top as seen in one of the photos. The short top side allows for simple insertion and holds the box down, while the extended lower wall provides support and extends the pivot point away from the wall. More secure and less drooping that way. I plan to still design versions that stack 2 and 3 boxes on top of each other. Side by side there seems to be not much benefit and the mount is designed such that the grid squares to the left and right are not impinged and can have something mounted on them, like a second box holder or anything. Print on the flat surface. I've had great success with PETG and PLA as the support interface. License is CC BY-SA, for other licensing options contact [email protected]
