Nokia G-010G-D ONT single socket box cover support panel PON Fibre modem Openreach

An Openreach FTTP ONT is an optical model that bridges a PON fibre network into ethernet. In the UK Openreach is currently deploying Nokia G-010D-G ONTs although other devices could work too. In my case, I have the fibre wire coming out of a plasterboard socket box where the old telephone master socket was fitted. The ONT has two plastic supports that fit over screws which are conveniently spaced the same as a UK standard single socket back box. This means that the device can be "fitted" to the wall on top of a blank box. Problem is that it leaves an open gap into the box and... I can't have that. Because my wires come out of the box, I've made a deep wire slot to run the fibre wire out of the plate and into the ONT. If you wire comes from elsewhere, you can just use the same plate without the wire slot, also made available.
