Sobre este modelo

A pack of N scale (1:160) wide-flange steel I-beams for flatcar loads, gondola scrap loads, steel yards, construction sites and junk piles. It has 8 real-world beam sizes, each in clean straight lengths and in five kinds of bent and battered scrap. Beam Sizes W4x13, W6x9, W8x10, W8x18, W10x22, W12x26, W14x30, W18x35, with outside dimensions taken from real AISC beam profiles. What's Included (64 STLs) - Straight: 24 beams, every size in 12 ft, 24 ft and 40 ft lengths (22.9 / 45.7 / 76.2 mm) - Damaged Scrap: 40 beams, every size in five types of damage:- Bowed (24 ft) - Sharp Kink (19 ft) - Heavy Twist (22 ft) - S Buckle (26 ft) - Crushed End (14 ft)

Printability At 1:160 a real beam's web and flanges are only a few hundredths of a millimeter thick, which is too thin to print. These beams keep true-scale height, width and length but have a thicker web and flanges so they print cleanly and survive handling. Print Settings - Printer: made for resin (MSLA/DLP). These parts are tiny, and FDM won't hold the detail. - Layer height: 0.03–0.05 mm - Orientation: angle the straights 30–45° off the plate. The damaged pieces print well angled or with light supports. - Supports: light or micro supports

Painting Tip Start with a dark brown or black primer, then dry-brush rust orange and a little gray steel. For scrap loads, add heavier rust and some dirt on the crushed and twisted pieces. Mixing sizes and damage types in one pile makes a scrap load look more convincing. Please post a make if you print some. I'd love to see your loads and scrap yards!
