Sobre este modelo
A modern steel monopole billboard in N scale (1:160) for highways, interchanges, industrial areas and the edges of town. It's modeled on a standard 14 × 48 ft bulletin. It has a recessed face for your own artwork, a tubular steel back frame, a single monopole on a concrete footing, an open-grate front catwalk with a ladder, and optional safety railings you can add or leave off. Size - Artwork area: 90 × 30 mm (about 48 × 16 scale ft) - Assembled: 94 × 23.9 × 64.8 mm (about 34 scale ft tall)
Features - Flat face with a recessed artwork area, so printed ads drop right in - Detailed rear tubular frame, crossarms and weldments - Steel monopole on a concrete footing - Open-grate catwalk on five gussets, with an access ladder - Optional left, right and outer railings, so you can model it with or without guards
What's Included (26 STLs) One-Piece Versions - No railings - End railings only - Outer railing only - All railings
Kit Parts - Modern face (90 × 30 mm recess) - Rear tubular frame - Monopole and crossarms as one part, or monopole only and crossarms/weldments as separate parts - Concrete footing - Front open-grate catwalk - Five catwalk gussets - Front access ladder - Optional left end rail, right end rail and outer rail - Optional art backer: 89.7 × 29.7 × 0.3 mm. Glue your artwork to it, then drop it into the face.
Flat Print-Oriented Parts The face, rear frame, crossarms, catwalk, ladder, each railing and a single gusset come already laid flat for printing. Print the gusset 5 times. Artwork Print any billboard ad at 90 × 30 mm and glue it into the face recess, either directly or on the art backer. Old-school ads, local businesses, fictional brands, or blank and weathered for an abandoned sign all work. Print Settings - Printer: made for resin (MSLA/DLP). The grating, ladder and railings are very fine. - Layer height: 0.03–0.05 mm - Supports: light or micro supports. Use the flat-oriented files for the thin parts. - Tip: the one-piece versions are easiest to build. The kit parts let you paint each section separately before assembly.
Painting Tip Paint the steel dark gray or galvanized gray with a little rust at the welds and the base of the pole. Use concrete gray for the footing, with some dirt and grass around it. The back of the face can be plain gray or white. Please post a make if you print it. I'd love to see what ads you put on yours!
