This is a simple, lightweight blade guard designed to protect a knife edge and reduce accidental contact during storage or transport.
The open-frame design uses less material while allowing airflow around the blade. I printed mine in PLA, and it is still working well. For improved toughness and temperature resistance, PETG or ASA is recommended.
Printing suggestions:
Print flat on the build plate No supports should be required 0.20 mm layer height Three or more walls PETG or ASA preferred; PLA is also suitable Check the model dimensions against your knife before printing and scale if necessary This guard is intended for storage and light transport. It is not a locking sheath, so verify that the fit is secure before use.
