- Removable Flange: The defining feature is the removable flange—the outer lip that retains the tire. This design allows you to swap flanges of different diameters or offsets to adjust the track width or fine-tune the tire's fitment, offering a level of customization not possible with standard rims.
- The flanged design provides several key performance advantages over standard rims:
- Reduced Tire Movement: The flange acts as a secure lip that holds the tire in place, minimizing sidewall flex and tire squirm under hard cornering or acceleration.
- Stiffened Sidewall: By supporting the tire's sidewall, the flange increases overall structural integrity. This reduces tire flex, which sharpens steering response and provides a more direct feel.
- Reduced Traction Roll: The improved tire stability is highly effective at reducing the dreaded "traction roll," a common issue in high-grip Mini-Z racing where the car can flip over in tight corners. This allows for more aggressive cornering and faster lap times.
