Sobre este modelo

Holders for two electric salt and pepper mills and an Amazon Echo Dot Max, for a 5 mm IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard mounted 90 degrees from its normal orientation, so the slots run horizontally. Please check before you print: - The clips only fit a SKÅDIS board with HORIZONTAL slots. On a board in the normal orientation (vertical slots) they do not fit. - The mill holder was made for our mills: grinder end Ø 63.3 mm, narrowest point Ø 47.2 mm, other end Ø 58.7 mm, about 185 mm long. A mill may fit if its grinder end is at least about 62 mm wide and every part that has to pass through the ring, including buttons and port covers, is no more than about 59 mm wide. Shape and print tolerances still matter; measure the full insertion path before printing. - The seat was made for the Amazon Echo Dot Max (retailer dimensions 108.7 × 108.6 × 99.1 mm). Other Echo models and other speakers were not tested.

What is included - Mill pair holder (print 1 copy): two rings with a 60 mm bore, 84 mm apart. Each mill hangs upside down: the narrow end goes down through the ring and the wide grinder end rests on the flat top of the ring. The tested mills grind at the press of a button; lift a mill out to use it and put it back afterwards. The grinder-up orientation is meant to reduce residue falling onto the worktop below; it was not tested as spill-proof. - Amazon Echo Dot Max seat (print 1 copy): an 80 mm ring (inner diameter) with a stepped top edge; the speaker sits in it with its rounded bottom. A 25 mm notch at the back of the ring leaves room for the power cable, which runs down behind the seat.

Tool-free clips (no screws) - Each part has two clips 80 mm apart, so its four tabs go into the left ends of four neighbouring slots of one row. - Press the part flat against the board and slide it about 7 mm to the right until both latches click into the slots below. - To take it off: lift the mills or the speaker out first, pull the bottom edge a few degrees (about 3 degrees) away from the board until both latches leave the lower slots, keep it tilted, slide it to the left and pull it out. - The clips are made for the 5 mm SKÅDIS board.

Printing - Settings: Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm layer height, Bambu PLA Matte (white), Textured PEI plate, 5 walls, 40 % gyroid infill, 8 mm outer brim, no supports. - Both parts print upside down, with the top of the rings on the plate; the STL files are already oriented that way. Trim the brim cleanly so nothing sticks out at the ring edges. - The two holders were printed with these settings on a larger plate together with other parts. The published two-part 3MF was slice-checked separately: slicer estimate approximately 2 h 47 min and 118.6 g of filament. That exact two-part plate was not printed on its own. - Only the X1 Carbon print was tested. Bambu Studio lists other printers for this profile internally; those were not tested.

Use and safety - Indoor kitchen organizer. Fit-tested on one 5 mm SKÅDIS board: both mills hang in the holder and the Echo Dot Max sits on its seat, as in the photos. Our filled mills weigh 462 g and 381 g, the speaker 509 g. Only the fit with the listed devices was checked; no rated-load, overload, heat or long-term test was done. - Do not install the speaker seat near a hob or stove, a sink, steam, liquids or another heat source. Amazon specifies an operating range of 0 to 35 degrees Celsius for the Echo Dot Max and asks that the power socket stays easily accessible; read Amazon's safety information for your device. Keep the PLA holders away from heat as well. PETG and ASA were not tested with this design. - Check the print and the mounting before use, and do not hang it where a falling mill or speaker could hit someone.

Files - Skadis_Mill_Holder_Pair.stl - Skadis_Echo_Dot_Max_Seat.stl - Skadis_Mill_Speaker_Holders_X1C_PLA.3mf (3MF project, both parts with the print settings) - Skadis_Mill_Speaker_Holders_Drawing.pdf (key dimensions) There is no STEP file: the parts were modelled as meshes, so a STEP file would only contain the same triangles.

About the pictures: the photos show the printed holders in use. The animation and the renders are made from the model files; the mills and the speaker are simplified and the printed parts are shown in orange.

Lizenz CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/).
