This one lifts off the wall and you can carry it around with you. This one was a real challenge. I built it around a lipstick-style USB battery pack..

See this and more builds at https://bnebuilds.com/torch/?src=thingiverse A remix of my wall sconce torch (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7398983). This one lifts off the wall and you can carry it around with you. This one was a real challenge. I built it around a lipstick-style USB battery pack and flickering USB tea lights, and each turned into its own problem. First, the battery pack shuts itself off with only one light plugged in; the draw is too low. A USB splitter and a second tea light fixed that, but then I had cable length and clearance issues inside the handle. Second, lipstick battery packs are smooth cylinders, which makes them hard to align and hold in place. That is where the somewhat cumbersome cap and holder design comes from. The pack's flashlight shines out the bottom of the handle, so you get a flickering torch up top and a pool of light at your feet. What you need besides the prints: - Lipstick USB power bank (the kind with a flashlight button) - USB flickering tea lights, 2 of them - USB splitter, one input to two outputs - Super glue, hot glue, a rubber band Full BOM is on
I think this design has potential but needs more iteration. I would love to hear feedback from the community.
