Sobre este modelo

Magnetic Hygrometer Holder for Filament Dry Boxes I wanted to see the humidity in my filament storage boxes without drilling a single hole into them. This holder sits on the inside of the box, with the display pressed flat against the wall, and is held in place by a small magnet on the outside. You read the value straight through the clear wall. Why you might like it - Non-destructive: no holes, no screws, no adhesive on the box. Take it off and the box is as new. - Twist-lock: the hygrometer's own wedge-shaped spring tabs lock it into the ring. No extra parts. - The magnet block is raised by 3 mm, so the display lies flat against the wall instead of tilting. - Move it to another box in seconds.

What you need - 1 printed holder (one file, one part) - 1 round mini hygrometer (see compatibility below) - 2 neodymium cube magnets 5 x 5 x 5 mm, N42 (one in the holder, one outside the box) Compatibility Designed for the round mini thermo-hygrometers sold under many brand names (mine are JEDEW, 6-pack, LR44 battery). - Front collar: Ø 45 mm - Body, as listed by the seller: Ø 40 mm - Body, measured: Ø 41 mm - Depth: 15 mm - Holder bore: Ø 42.0 mm - Notches for the spring tabs: 6 mm wide, 0.45 mm deep per side - Holder size: approx. 56.5 x 89 x 5.5 mm Measure your hygrometer before printing. The seller's 40 mm did not match what I measured.Tested on an IKEA 365+ (10.2 L) and a GoMaihe storage box (4 L). The magnets have to pull through the wall, so thicker walls will weaken the hold. Printing - Material: PLA or PETG - Layer height: 0.2 mm - Infill: 15 % - Supports: none - Orientation: flat back side on the bed, magnet block facing up - Print time / weight: approx. 12 min / 7 g on a Creality K2 The 3MF file contains my print profile for the Creality K2. Most current slicers open 3MF files; adjust the settings to your printer. Assembly 1. Find the poles of your magnets first. Let the two cubes snap together freely. They line up in a row, and the faces that touch are the poles. Mark the two outer end faces with a pen. 2. Press one cube into the pocket with a marked face pointing out of the pocket, towards the box wall. It is a press-fit, no glue needed. 3. Test it on the box before you press the magnet all the way in. 4. Line up the two spring tabs of the hygrometer with the two notches in the ring. The display will sit tilted by about 25°. 5. Push the hygrometer in and turn it towards "lock" until the display is level. The tabs wedge and click into place. 6. Hold the holder against the inside wall and place the second magnet outside. The mistake I made on my prototype: a cube has six faces, but only two of them are poles. If the cube goes in sideways, the outer magnet slides off-centre and only half overlaps. With flat disc magnets this cannot happen, with cubes it can. Good to know - The hygrometer reads from 10 % RH upwards, with an accuracy of about ±3–5 %. In a well-dried box it sits at the bottom of its range, so treat it as a trend indicator, not a lab instrument. - Its working range ends at 50 °C. Take it out before the box goes into a heated dryer. - Small magnets are dangerous if swallowed. Keep them away from children. If you print one, I would love to see your make. Questions and suggestions are welcome in the comments.
