Cleaning my VEVOR cotton candy machine (1000 W) was always annoying: sugar falls into the gap between the spinning head and the housing, and the original sheet metal cover is screwed onto rivet nuts, so sugar and sugar water collect underneath it. This guard ring replaces the cover. It is held by magnets, comes off without tools and can go into the dishwasher. Full build log with all photos (German): https://blog.josias.de/posts/zuckerwatteguardring/ Design Two identical halves form a flat ring with 188 mm outer diameter, 100 mm inner diameter and 18 mm height. The top is a rounded channel without edges where sugar could stick, a small lip at the inner edge covers the gap to the spinning head, and the halves overlap with a step at the joints. Print the half twice. Hardware 30 magnets 2 x 2 mm (15 per half: 11 hold it on the housing, 4 in the end faces hold the halves together), glue, a drill. Conversion Unscrew the original cover and drill out the rivet nuts so the surface is flat. Glue in the magnets, check the polarity first and cover them completely with glue so they don't rust in the dishwasher. Then place both halves around the spinning head. Print settings ASA (heat resistant and dishwasher safe), standard settings, no supports. Fits the VEVOR 1000 W machine, measure your own machine before printing. The Fusion 360 project is available on my blog.
